Share this micro landscape moss terrarium for praying mantis.
The material: lava rocks, dry moss,
The plants: moss, fittonia, Peacock Moss, Maidenhair ferns, miniature bamboo.
The tree: quick aquarium glue. The twigs are super sturdy. They can last for years and do not rot (only changed darker).
I create this terrarium originally for bonsai. It has a base and the top can be removed for maintenance and there is a door for easy watering. Soon, I realize that this structure is suitable for making a habitat for my mantis and spiders. I have a stick insect it fits too.
This moss project is built based on praying mantis’s need: it has water to drink, twigs to climb. No need any other accessories. Open the door to put in small flies.

I built in same satyle but the acrylic box just deshape and I can not fill it in any more. Otherwise it is better for keeping insects easily for it has a water pond.
