One of my most popular moss terrariums, it worth a post comparing them and record followup videos.
They are created in different times.
The moss I am using is: Leucobryum moss
Ferns vary. For those with strong roots, like fittonia and rabbit ear foot, please limit it in the drilled rock otherwise its root will overgrow and destroy the moss wall.
Here is the material list. (you cna find the building kit on ncyp.com website to duplicate this terrarium).
There are 3 live moss wall terrariums in my following photo collection and they are the same style same way. That is one of the reasons I put them all together. The other reason is to show that it can be duplicated and that is what you will get by my way.
5-8mm red lava rock about 320g
sphagna or dry moss, about 30g
Natural small diatomite rocks, about (anyt soil will be ok) 200g
red clay: 550g
5-8cm drilled lava rock, 2 pieces
5-8cm lava rock 1 pieces
dry Leucobryum moss: 20 cm x 30cm
a bottle of 50ml instant aquascape glue
Here is a building video:
I keep this terrarium in my shelf and will update its followups.
