Recently I made lots of maiden hair fern insect terrariums. They were made in 1-2 month since Lunar New Year, when I fond lots of maidenharin on a brick wall. It was near new year and they would be cleaned away by the house owner. So I tranplanted them in my flower pots. I know snails like them so that is how those terrarium projects come out.
At first, I try to grow them on rock with red clay and fishing wire to mimic its natural status. Then I wonder is there any easier way to do them? Yes, there are. I find natural tree stump shape planter and it becomes super easy to build one.
The first maiden hir fern terrarium: they are planted on a piece of lava rock with red clay and fish wires.
they are planted on a piece of dragon rock with red clay and fish wires.
Then I fix them on a piece of bark with red clay and fish wire. This looks exactly like what thay were on a brick wall.
then, I realize that they may be too hard for a insect live plant terrarium. The ferns are planted in a black cement planter. This is by far the most easy one I created.
Here is the planting video, will be linked here soon.
