Rock Grass Bonsai

This post is for recording rock bonsai.

Bonsai tree is kind of expensive and needs years to grow. If you need any easy to do bonsai, try use grass (I mean the plants easy to grow compared with bonsai tree. In most cases, I like tropical shade plants).

The plants:

Serissa japonica (Thunb.) Thunb.

Saxifraga stolonifera

Acorus calamus

It looks so smooth, right? that is because the soil contains clay soil. as long as you know will keep your plant soil moist most of time, then you can add clay.

plant a traditional rock bonsai. how to store it: place it in shade and make sure you can water it frequently. the rock is porous and you will never over water it.

In dry area / winter, place it in a high tank with wtaer in the botom. Remember my previous fittonia rock bonsai? It is the way to keep it.
