I made various of zen style moss terrariums. I name them pure moss terrariums for the only plants I use is moss (mostly Leucobryum). Till today, I have uploaded all the videos on my yotube channel and it is time to make a sum. This is one of the most easy moss terrarium inspired by Japanese Zen style garden. No technique needed. Put layers of the planting material inside and that is all.

This is the first one I made. The tall moss is called Climacium dendroides (not for sale. we only sell human caultivated moss on my website) It use a piece of driftwood and black sand.

The second driftwood and moss terrarium:

Many people like them and get questions like where to find the materials. Soon, I realize that it is hard to duplicate it. For you can not find a perfect size driftwood like me. Then the following three terrarim are created. I

This is the first one: I use 4 piece of black lava rocks instead of driftwood. There is a building set in website, including all moss:

The following one is a tree trump like cement planter.

The other black tree stump like cement planter

All the moss I use is real live moss. Some are dry moss (sinked in water first. please note: dryness does not make moss die), some are moss I kee raisng for some times. In close terrarium, the moss grow much taller than in natural environment. I have taken some photos and will share them here.

Here is one of the building videos. It is only 2-3 minutes long.

Updates of moss growing condition. Those photos are taken on March, 2024. Two to there months since they were built. Check my photos. There are some unknown moss reaching out and new babies beside of the tall tree-like Climacium dendroides.
