vintage house shape moss and carnivorous plants terrarium ideas

For this group of terrarium projects, the main plants are carnivorous plants and moss. I used a lot of Fissidens moss in these setups because it works especially well for this style. Of course, I also added a few other plants for contrast and texture, so I’m putting them together in one post.


The terrariums used in these projects are also similar. Each one has a base, a cute house shape glass cover which has a small door.


The planting area in the base is quite shallow, but that is exactly what moss and tropical plants need. They do not require a deep soil layer. What they need more is humidity in the air.


Because the glass cover and the base are separate, planting and arranging everything is also very easy.

the first one:


The plants I chose: flytrap, sundew, a piece of moss covered rock, fissidens moss.

The plants I chose: flytrap, pitcher plant, some hypnum moss.

mini cane begonia, frytraps, a piece of moss covered brick and fissidens moss.
